On April 25, 2025, CECS students had the valuable opportunity to visit Nestlé Bong Sen Factory, one of Nestlé Vietnam’s most advanced production sites. The field trip offered an in-depth look at the milk packaging technology behind one of the country’s most recognizable ready-to-drink products: MILO.
Throughout the tour, students were guided through key stages of the production process—from sterilization of packaging materials to the fully automated filling and sealing of milk cartons. Witnessing the scale, precision, and efficiency of the factory’s operations helped students connect classroom theory with real-world engineering systems.
Interestingly, students also learned during the visit that MILO’s ready-to-drink product was first introduced to the Vietnamese market in 2006—the same year many students from Cohort 2024 were born. This fun discovery sparked reflection on how industrial products can evolve alongside generations of consumers and engineers.
The visit not only enhanced students’ understanding of production engineering and quality control, but also encouraged them to consider future careers in the food technology and FMCG industries.
We extend our sincere thanks to Ms. Thao and Mr. Xuan from Nestlé Vietnam for their thoughtful guidance and generous sharing of technical insights. Their expertise and warm support made the experience especially engaging for our students.
CECS is grateful to Nestlé Vietnam for welcoming our students and supporting their journey toward becoming future engineers and innovators.
