VinUniversity Reached Agreements for Collaborative Doctoral Research Degree Program and the Integrated Bachelor’s-Master’s Program with University of Technology Sydney (UTS)
Recently, Management Board representatives of University of Technology Sydney – UTS (ranked #11 among Young Universities worldwide) visited VinUniversity and signed a cooperation agreement to officially launch the 3+2 Integrated Bachelor’s-Master’s program for VinUniversity students, and the Collaborative Doctoral Research Degree program for doctoral students of both universities.
Under the Collaborative Doctoral Research Degree program, each university’s doctoral students will be able to participate in research at the partner university for at least 1 year and graduate with a Doctoral degree awarded by both universities.
Under the 3+2 Integrated Bachelor’s-Master’s Program, students will study for the first 3 years at VinUniversity and complete the next 2 years at UTS. After 5 years, graduating students will earn a Bachelor’s degree from VinUniversity and a Master’s degree from UTS. The program’s admission will officially open from the second semester of the academic year 2023-2024 for third year students of VinUniversity’s College of Engineering & Computer Science, who wish to pursue postgraduate study and receive a Master’s degree at UTS, Australia.
n particular, VinUniversity students also have the opportunity to apply for Vingroup’s 1,100 Science and Technology Scholarships Program for Overseas Study for Master’s and Doctoral Degrees, to receive full-aid scholarships for 2 years of studying abroad at UTS. This program will cover full tuition, living expenses, health insurance, return airfare, and related expenses for students who meet the program’s selection criteria.

Getting to know more about and working with VinUniversity, we are very impressed and look forward to learning from VinUniversity about the personalized approach of looking after the students, although this is not easy to implement at UTS with a current student body of 40,000.” – Mr. Iain Watt, Deputy Vice Chancellor and Vice President of University of Technology Sydney emphasized at the signing ceremony.
Mr. Watt also shared more about the privileges of VinUniversity’s PhD students conducting Doctoral research at UTS. UTS is a research-focused university. Over the last 5-6 years, UTS has invested 1.5 billion Australian dollars to redesign the campus and enhance their research labs with the most modern facilities. Therefore, VinUniversity students studying and researching at UTS will have access to modern equipment and technologies currently used by leading companies around the world. In particular, Doctoral students at UTS will expand their international networks not only in academia but also in the industry.
