Student Research Grant Program

Student Research Grant Program

VinUni’s Student Research Grant Program (Formerly the Opportunity for Undergraduate Research or OUR program) provides financial support to students engaged in research projects that have the potential to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in their field of study. By providing funding for personnel, equipment, conference trip, and other research-related expenses, these grants enable students to undertake ambitious research projects that they might not otherwise be able to pursue.

The program’s funding mechanism will be reviewed by the Research Affairs Committee (RAC) on a yearly basis. In the AY24 – 25, the Research Management Office (RMO) will pilot decentralizing the Student Research Grant program to the four colleges of VinUni: the Colleges of Arts and Sciences, the College of Business and Management, the College of Engineering and Computer Science, and the College of Health Science. Colleges will take the lead in developing and managing their own Student Research Grant Program under the supervision of RAC and RMO. Colleges will also organize orientation sessions on research methodologies, research project management and research ethics for students. These include, but are not limited to, seminars, academic forums, and supplementary courses.
