CECS to Co-host the 9th IFToMM International Symposium on Robotics and Mechatronics (ISRM 2026)

June 29, 2026

The 9th IFToMM International Symposium on Robotics and Mechatronics (ISRM 2026) symposium will take place from 15–17 July 2026 at VinUniversity in Hanoi, bringing together leading researchers, engineers, and practitioners from around the world to exchange the latest developments in robotics, mechatronics, and intelligent mechanical systems. CECS will co-host the symposium in collaboration with the International Federation for the Promotion of Mechanism and Machine Science (IFToMM).

As one of IFToMM’s flagship international conferences, ISRM 2026 serves as a platform for presenting cutting-edge research and fostering international collaboration across a broad spectrum of disciplines. The technical program covers topics including mechanism design and kinematics, mechatronic systems, mobile and autonomous robotics, industrial robotics and manufacturing, medical and assistive robotics, dynamics and control, artificial intelligence for robotics, and emerging intelligent systems. The symposium will feature keynote lectures, parallel technical sessions, and discussions designed to promote knowledge exchange between academia and industry.

The two-day technical program will feature four keynote addresses delivered by internationally recognized scholars from Nanyang Technological University (Singapore), University of Wollongong (Australia), Edinburgh Napier University (United Kingdom), and the University of Nevada, Reno (USA). The keynote sessions will explore emerging topics such as Physical and Industrial AI, wearable human–machine interfaces, cyber-physical robotic systems for sustainable construction, and the development of a globally competitive robotics ecosystem in Vietnam. More than one hundred technical papers will be presented across parallel sessions covering robotics, automation, AI, intelligent manufacturing, and healthcare applications. The symposium will conclude with a cultural tour of Hanoi for registered participants, providing opportunities for further networking and international exchange.

ISRM 2026 also supports the development of early-career researchers through the IFToMM Young Delegates Program (YDP), which provides financial assistance for eligible young scientists and engineers participating in the symposium. This initiative aligns with IFToMM’s long-standing mission of promoting international scientific collaboration and nurturing the next generation of researchers in mechanism and machine science.

The symposium reflects CECS’s continued commitment to advancing research excellence and strengthening global academic partnerships in robotics and intelligent engineering. VinUniversity serves as the General Chair institution, with Dr. Nguyen Vu Linh as General Chair and several CECS faculty members contributing to the organizing committee, including Dr. Phung Manh Duong as Program Co-Chair and Dr. Thai Mai Thanh and Dr. Do Tho Truong as Local Arrangement Chairs. VinUniversity is also the Platinum Sponsor of the symposium, supporting international research collaboration and innovation in engineering and technology.
