The purpose of the program is to develop Ph. D.s in Computer Science with:
- A high level of expertise, practical knowledge, and advanced, intensive theory;
- Skills to synthesize and analyze information, discover and solve problems creatively;
- Critical thinking skills, independent research capability, skills to create and disseminate new knowledge, and establish a national and international cooperation network in professional activities.

Scholarship
All Ph.D. students will be offered a 100% scholarship covering all the tuition fees during their education (40,000 USD/year).

Focusing on promoting breakthroughs in technology, invention, and innovation which have the potential to create positive and significant impacts. Core disciplines include Environmental Intelligence, Smart Health and Precision Medicine, Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence and Optimization, Computational Biology, and Digital Material Science.
1 to 2 years of research exchange overseas
Ph.D students have the opportunity to conduct research for 1 to 2 years at a partner university under the 1.100 scholarships program of Vingroup. This program will cover all tuition fees, living expenses, health insurance, round-trip airfare, and related expenses for qualified Ph.D students. Selected Ph.D. students can also enroll in joint PhD programs with UIUC and the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS).
